Good Day To All  - My Sick Story - About Year Ago

Well – Guess you are wondering what started this site —Yea Me Too !
Started when I got trapped between jobs and no health insurance - and, you may have guessed it - Yep – Heart attack – Main artery blocked. Had to have a stent installed..

 Well that was bad, but not as bad as the $ 95,000 in total billings I received from this
misfortune. My wife and I were surprised at what the cost of medical attention had risen to in this country, plus I was only in the hospital three days !! ( Yes, It’s paid now )

Now of course I can’t get insurance at any affordable price from any insurer..
Theresa ( my wife ) and I had traveled Mexico considerably during our marriage and many times jokingly said we should move here. As with many couples the necessity for monthly income knocked those ideas totally out of consideration.

BUT not now, as we have managed to save some money and own most everything we
have, including our small farm. The idea has arisen and we now plan to take action on this dream.

Thus I began my search in the Mazatlan area, an area we love. Several months later and a thousand web sites later, I realized that if I wanted to live comfortably and live on the beachfront I would have to look elsewhere, as expats ( Americans and Canadians ) moving to Mazatlan had now driven home prices very high, at lease for my budget. (The stent had taken a large portion the home money.)

A new search for my beachfront home drove me to the farthermost ends of Mexico.
Somewhere called the YUCATAN–WOW how wonderful can a place be ?? . What a beautiful and peaceful place !!

Now to study this new place and decide where to live. Looks like a trip is in store for
for us. So many questions we will have to solve in the next six or so months.
Well lets sleep on it for now.
